A Campus Designed for Comprehensive Care

The Center of Hope’s 11 acre campus in Fenton, MI, is a vibrant hub of transformation, offering a wide range of services that uplift individuals and families in crisis. The main building houses the Free Choice Market and Baby Closet, while three additional houses are being renovated into emergency housing, counseling spaces, and more. The campus also features an event lawn for community gatherings, with plans for a pavilion, playground, and a peaceful nature walk along Swartz Creek, which runs through the property. Through initiatives like Heart for Housing, a Pregnancy Resource Center, life skills workshops, and seasonal events, the Center provides compassionate, comprehensive care, restoring dignity, building stability, and empowering hope.

1 - First House

Of the three houses this one was in the best condition and is currently being used on the upper level for Counseling. Currently under construction in the lower level are two short-term emergency apartments. Future goals are for this to be used for staff, offices, and short term emergency housing.

5 - Outdoor Event Area

The outdoor event area is a large open lawn area that will be used for community gatherings. Summer of 2022 saw it put to use for the first Love Our City Independence Day Celebration. This was a time of worship, food, and fun jointly organized by several local churches and the Center of Hope. Our vision is for this space to be used for a variety of events that bring churches and organizations together throughout the area.

Playground

With temporary housing, Parenting Program, and the Food Pantry all on-site there will be a lot of kids on the property. A play area will be a useful compliment to the services we're able to provide to guests.

Pavilion

As part of our goal of building community a pavilion will be a great addition to the Outdoor Event Area, offering a sheltered gathering place for a wide range of events.

Nature Walk

The eastern side of the Center of Hope property is bordered by Swartz Creek (the actual creek, not the city). The waters edge is currently very overgrown but is being developed and will offer opportunities for relaxing strolls, seating for conversations and counseling, and a place for quiet meditation.
