Center of Hope serves those in need in Fenton and beyond by providing life-changing services such as...
The Free Choice Market, Center of Hope's food pantry, is set up as a small grocery store so people can choose the food they need and prefer rather than simply getting a one size fits all box of food. We strive to provide a variety of meats, fresh produce and staples so each family can enjoy a nutritionally balanced and delicious diet. Hygiene products and cleaning supplies are also available. The Free Choice Market is Gold Certified through the USDA Nutritious Pantry Program.
Having a baby is a blessing, but for families in need it can be a financial challenge. The Center of Hope Parenting Program and baby closet help turn a time of need back into a time of rejoicing so each parent or guardian can focus on the bundle of joy that has joined the family. As children grow, we continue to partner with families to provide the ongoing support and training necessary to achieve success.
We offer a variety of classes that cover topics such as cooking, budgeting, parenting, gardening, crafting, menu planning, nutrition and exercise. Additionally, we have small groups to study various topics, books or video series, in an atmosphere that promotes personal growth and friendship.
We're able to provide crisis counseling for individuals We understand that everyone needs help at some point in their lives. Whether you are doing well in some areas but struggling in others, we are here to lend a hand. Trained counselors are available to provide encouragement and guidance rooted in the Bible.
Mentoring those we minister to happens in a variety of ways at the Center of Hope. Guests using any of our services often make use of one-on-one mentoring in one way or another. Getting one-on-one guidance in practical issues is a key part of helping those we serve move forward.
To address the unmet emergency housing need in our area, the Center of hope has plans that would accommodate as many as 50 women and children. In time all three 8,000 sqft houses on the property, starting with a small efficiency apartment in the First House will be remodeled as short-term and mid-term rooms or apartments. We get calls for emergency housing several times each week.
It’s not just about food, or diapers, or any of the services Center of Hope provides...
those are just the beginning of a solution. Behind every need there’s a story. When relationships are formed and the story is revealed, deeper needs become apparent and real solutions can be found.
Here at the Center of Hope we believe that strong relationships are the key to understanding and helping people out of bad circumstances. Every service provided has relationship at its core, from the Free Choice Market, where guests interact with a personal shopper, to the Parenting Program where mentors invest personally into the lives of moms and dads.
Our goal is to make our community stronger, one person and one family, at a time!
